HuntMountain Resources 2005 Review

(SPOKANE, Wash.) HuntMountain Resources (OTCBB: HNTM) is pleased to provide a review of its 2005 operations.  We have been diligently building a foundation consisting of accomplished business managers and experienced exploration professionals.  HuntMountain’s base of investors is committed to the success of the firm and has provided the financial resources to acquire and explore mineral properties of merit after thorough analysis and prudent selection.

The year ahead looks very promising, and HuntMountain is in a prime position to capitalize on the opportunities available in the current precious metals bull market.

2005 Highlights

  • HuntMountain Resources officially forms and assumes Metaline Mining and Leasing Company, a former Spokane Stock Exchange shell corporation.
  • Two private placement financings in March 2005 increase the Company’s cash position to US $1.1 million.
  • Tim Hunt, president of 800-employee manufacturer Huntwood Industries, joins former Mines Management, Inc. president, Dr. William Green, and former Northwest Mining Association president, Dr. Eberhard Schmidt, on the Company’s board of directors.
  • Randal Hardy, formerly the Treasurer of Sunshine Mining & Refining Company and CEO of Sunshine Minting, is appointed Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company.
  • Matthew Hughes joins HuntMountain as Vice President of Exploration after serving as Chief Geologist for Mundoro Mining’s Maoling Gold Project in China and exploring precious and base mineral properties throughout the U.S., Argentina, and Asia for 17 years.
  • The Company continues to evaluate and analyze numerous exploration and advanced stage precious and base metals properties in North and South America.  Areas of focus include projects with up-side and near-term production potential in Alaska, Canada, the Western United States and Argentina.
Continued strength in the precious metals market coupled with a well-financed, professionally-managed junior exploration venture makes HuntMountain Resources a solid ground-floor investment opportunity.  We anticipate an exciting and successful year in 2006 and invite you to learn more at www.huntmountain.com.
