On a recent visit to Argentina, HuntMountain Resources executives had the opportunity to meet with the National Secretary of Mining, Jorge Mayoral. Below is the translated text of a public release from the Secretary’s office following the meeting.

New Investments in Mining

The National Secretary of Mining, Jorge Mayoral, accompanied by the National Director of Mining, Miguel Guerrero, met today with representatives of HuntMountain Resources to analyze new investments in Argentina.

The meeting included the Vice President of Exploration, Matthew Hughes, Chief Financial Officer Randal Hardy, and the Argentine representative of HuntMountain, Danilo Silva, who outlined before the national authorities the exploration and prospecting projects that the company plans to develop in the Patagonia, Nuevo Cuyo, and Northwest regions.

As a part of that discussion, the executives announced that the gathering of field samples and other relative information would be carried out by Argentine professionals and technicians. The meeting also touched on the related subjects of mining norms and the type of work to be carried out in 2006.

Finally, the representatives declared their intention to accompany the National Mineral Organization to the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada held in Toronto, Ontario in March. Toronto is one of the world’s principal arenas of metallic mineral commerce and finance. There, the Secretary of Mining will present, for the 5th consecutive year, an Argentine Mineral Pavilion, where mineral company exhibition and conferences concerning investment opportunities will occur.
