HuntMountain Resources Begins Drilling at Dun Glen Gold Project

(SPOKANE, Wash.) HuntMountain Resources (OTCBB:HNTM) is pleased to announce the commencement of an 8,000-foot HQ diamond core drilling program at its Dun Glen Gold Project in northern Nevada.  The drill plan consists of seven to ten holes, of which at least half will target high-grade gold shows adjacent to or beneath workings of the Auld Lang Syne, Black Hole, and Monroe mines.  These historic mines lie along a 12,000-foot mineralized structural corridor and produced between 50,000-75,000 ounces of gold during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  The remaining holes will test conceptual targets with greater disseminated bulk tonnage potential that were generated through detailed mapping, geochemical sampling, and a recently-conducted magnetic geophysical survey.

“This is an exciting day for HuntMountain’s shareholders, management, and exploration team,” said President Randal Hardy.  “Our drilling program at Dun Glen is an indication of the significant progress the Company has made over the past year, and we are looking ahead to our next phase of exploration and development.  The considerable investment of resources we have allocated to Dun Glen has provided us with a unique understanding of the property’s complex geology and mineralization.  Our exploration has resulted in a significant number of promising targets for the current drill program and for future rounds of drilling.”

The season’s program is being carried out by Kettle Drilling, with sample core being processed and assayed by ALS Chemex in Winnemucca and Reno.  The Dun Glen Gold Project consists of a 1,700-acre claim block within the Sierra Mining District, an area with historic published production of at least 250,000 ounces of gold from lode and placer sources. The project lies 25 miles southwest of Winnemucca and 21 miles north of the Florida Canyon Mine.

HuntMountain Resources is a U.S.-based junior exploration company engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing precious metal properties throughout North and South America.  The Company is currently exploring prospective gold properties in Nevada, Québec, and Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.
