HuntMountain's Argentine Exploration now in Full Swing

(SPOKANE, Wash.) HuntMountain Resources (OTCBB: HNTM) is pleased to report that Cerro Cazador S.A., the wholly owned subsidiary of HuntMountain Resources, is now drilling on its La Josefina Gold and Silver Project in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.

Cerro Cazador's planned 6,000 meter HQ diamond core drill program commenced on November 21, 2007 and is expected to be completed by March of 2008. Drilling was initiated on the "Veta Norte" target where previous trenching and drilling results demonstrated three dimensions of consistently strong precious metal mineralization. In the past, fifteen shallow core holes, spaced over 900 meters, were completed at Veta Norte target by FOMICRUZ S.E. Ten of the fifteen holes drilled returned assay intervals ranging between 1.75 g/t to 42.52 g/t gold and up to 232.5 g/t Silver (a complete table of results can be viewed on our web site at www.huntmountain.com in Press Release 07-07 disseminated on 08-08-07).

Drilling at La Josefina is being carried out by Patagonia Drill of Mendoza Province. Core samples will be processed by ALS Chemex in Mendoza City and Chile.

The company has been active on the property since late September 2007, engaged in general reconnaissance, surface channel sampling, geoligical mapping and is now nearly completed with a 200 line kilometer geophysical survey covering prospective sections of the property.

Through a public bidding process carried out by the Santa Cruz provincial mining authority, Fomento Minero de Santa Cruz Sociedad del Estado (FOMICRUZ S.E.), Cerro Cazador S.A. was awarded the right to explore and develop mineral deposits on La Josefina.

The La Josefina Project is located in the central-north portion of the Santa Cruz Province in the Deseado Massif and comprises an area of over 130,000 acres (52,770 hectares). The property encompasses multiple precious metal occurrences within a 10 km long hydrothermal alteration belt that is 1 to 3 km wide. Since 1994, several exploration programs have been carried out in the area, including detailed (1:500) geological mapping; soil, regolith and rock sampling; trenching; and drilling. Most of the work was carried out by FOMICRUZ S.E. in collaboration with the Instituto de Recursos Minerales (INREMI) of the La Plata University at a cost of more than USD$2,800,000. As a result of this exploration, more than 8,000 samples were collected and assayed, 3,900 meters of trenches were opened and sampled, and a total of 4,100 meters of diamond core drilling was completed and analyzed. The majority of the exploration was conducted in three prospective areas -- Central, Veta Norte, and the Sinter sector.
